European and Asian PropTech Societies in Moscow!
The active, visionary, very professional and fast developing PropTech-community in Russia arranged together with Ernst & Young (EY) a very successful meet up event in Moscow last week.
It was a highly professional day, with a packed agenda concentrating on the key issues that will push the development of this PropTech community to the next global level.
I was representing the Finnish PropTech community together with HUB13 CEO Ola Sundell.
I had the honour to represent the Finnish community also in the panel discussion, which was chaired by Mr Mark Grinis from EY, one of the most appreciated professionals in the global real estate consultant business.
Mark has gained a profound knowledge on the real estate business on which he bases his future visions and razorsharp questions and comments. He knows well the most relevant questions and challenges for the PropTech business. I can frankly say, that when Mark is chairing the panel, you’d better stay alerted…
New era is coming!
The PropTech event was very interesting with eye-opening and lively discussions between the panellists and the audience. The audience was keen on knowing the views of the panellists as well as the visions and comments by the inspiring chair. Although I have participated in numerous seminars and a variety of panels, I have never before seen a situation, where half of the audience raises their hands for questions and could not put their questions forward due to lack of time!
This indeed is an indication of “mental break-through” of the real estate business digitalization. This has been facilitated by the different range of digital solutions made by professionals in Europe and elsewhere.
In conjunction with this PropTech event, a separate meeting was arranged to discuss the kick-off of international co-operation between the existing PropTech communities.
In addition to the participants from the Russian PropTech society, other participants came from the Nordic Countries, Central Europe and Asia. We were counting that the meeting participants basically represented “half of the population on the Earth” which means around 3.5-4 billion persons.
The active co-operation has now been kicked off and the next meeting has been agreed upon. The results are bound to be excellent when the real estate business will be brought to the new digital era.
